Obama’s H1N1

One thousand was the magic number for both President Trump and President Obama.  When American coronavirus patients rose near 1,000, Trump banned travel from Europe and declared a national emergency.  When American H1N1 (AKA swine flu) deaths rose to over 1,000, Obama finally declared a national emergency.

During his address to the nation Wednesday night, President Trump announced a 30-day travel ban from 26 European national, excluding England.*  This ban would not apply to Americans returning from Europe, but they would need to go through medical screenings.**

At the time of Obama’s declaration of emergency, H1N1 had been enjoying free range, traveling around the US for six months.  Over 20,000 Americans has contracted the illness and over 1,000 had died, according to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention. In all, 17,000 Americans lost their lives before H1N1 had run it’s course.

As of Friday morning, the total number of confirmed cases across the United States is 1,701 with 40 confirmed coronavirus-related deaths.***  The number of confirmed cases is expected to rise as the CDC distributes more & more test kits to states and hospitals.

Obama’s H1N1 was barely noticed by Big Media because he was their Messiah.  Since January both the media and the Democrats have been doing everything they can to fear-monger this illness and pretend that the Trump Administration is ignoring it.  They are hoping against hope that the coronavirus gets worse, and continues to November.

* The suspension applies to 26 European countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. It bans entry of “all aliens who were physically present” in those countries in the 14 days prior to their scheduled travel to the U.S.

**Simultaneous with the President’s Oval Office address, Tom Hanks announced that he and his wife, both age 63, had contracted coronavirus while filming in Australia.  They are still downunder and have self-quarantined in their hotel. Since Australia is at the end of their summer, they report under 200 patients and one death. [Viruses have trouble living in sunlight. This is the main reason why flu season is in winter, not in summer.]

***Those who are dying from coronavirus are not otherwise healthy people, and very few children are getting it. All deceaseds have had underlying, life-threatening diseases before contracting this virus from China. For example, the New Jersey man who passed away was 69 years old and had numerous medical problems. When a person passes away it is due to fluid in the lungs caused by the viral pneumonia that can accompany the worse cases. The average age of death is 80.

I am an American, a patriot, a Conservative, a Republican & a strong Trump supporter. I retired in order to devote 2020 to getting the best president in my lifetime re-elected. Normal Americans have hope for the first time in decades. But, we MUST NOT relax. We have remained silent for too long while Liberalism has caused significant damage to Americans, to American culture and to our nation. Trump's work must continue through 1/2025. If we want anything of value to remain for future generations we need to act now, speak out now. Laugh every time a Liberal speaks, vote every chance we get & volunteer to campaign for Trump. Don't be intimidated by Liberals. Our nation, our culture is too special to lose.
