Video surfaced of Tlaib making very nasty remarks against President Trump. Tlaib was captured saying “We’re gonna go in there and we’re gonna impeach the motherf—er.”.
In a closed door meeting, President Trump confronted House Speaker Nancy Pelsoi. Pelsoi, like always backtracked, and said Democrats are not looking to impeach President Trump. A complete 180′ by the two time speaker of the house after two full years of slamming President Trump.
He opened the meeting with a 15-minute address centered on Ms. Tlaib’s comments and the issue of impeachment, one of the people said. Mr. Trump blamed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for Ms. Tlaib’s remarks, prompting her to reply that the meeting’s purpose was to talk about the government shutdown, not impeachment, the people said.Wall Street Journal
In his news conference later Friday, Mr. Trump recounted the exchange with Mrs. Pelosi, a California Democrat. He said he challenged her to use the government shutdown as grounds for removing him from office, and recalled that Mrs. Pelosi said Democrats aren’t looking to impeach him.
“That’s good, Nancy, that’s good,” Mr. Trump said he responded. “But you know what? You don’t impeach people when they’re doing a good job.”
President Trump has never been afraid to confront his enemies in person. Speaker Pelosi says what she can so she doesn’t make herself look too stupid. That however, isn’t always true. Many instances of the Congresswoman making herself looking like a complete idiot is more than just breadcrumbs.
Some Democratic members are distancing themselves from Tliab.
Democrats distanced themselves from Ms. Tlaib’s comments. “I don’t really like that kind of language,” said House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D., N.Y.), whose panel would lead any impeachment proceedings. “But more to the point, I disagree with what she said. It is too early to talk about that intelligently,” he said on CNN.
Mrs. Pelosi has kept the volume low on her caucus’s calls to impeach the president throughout the 2018 election, instead encouraging a focus on economic policy, but that will be more difficult with Democrats in the House majority.
On the legislative front, House Democrats plan to focus on measures to lower prescription-drug prices, ramp up infrastructure spending and overhaul ethics and campaign-finance rules in Washington.
House GOP leaders called on Mrs. Pelosi to denounce Ms. Tlaib’s comments.
“Pelosi’s got her first test, and it happened on Day 1: How is she going to stand up to the most radical-left elements of her party when they become unhinged?” said Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana, the No. 2 House Republican.WSJ
Articles of impeachment were introduced by Rep. Brad Sherman (D., Calif.) on Thursday, but they aren’t expected to move forward.
The Democratic Party is at an all time low. They might have taken over the house, but their ethics are still “RESIST”. What exactly are they resisting? Low Unemployment? Lower Taxes? Billions of dollars saved in Trade? America finally becoming dependent on our own natural resources? JOBS JOBS JOBS JOBS JOBS JOBS! It’s never made much sense to why Democrats want to stop such a Great President!
