Freedom of Speech

Angel Etchecopar, talk show host, was arrested and charged with   “disrespectful, insulting, denigrating and discriminatory” language against women.  There’s a law against being rude in Argentina?  Really?  Etchecopar’s rude speech is considered “gender discrimination” under Argentina’s anti-free speech statute.

The prosecution alleged that Etchecopar used his program on Radio 10 to attack feminists as “feminazis” and “disgusting people.”  Where is the profanity?  American Liberals’ trash-talk against Conservative women contain such nastiness that I won’t repeat the words here.

Can Argentine women say (and do?) whatever they want, and no one is allowed to criticize them?  Isn’t THAT gender discrimination against men?  Can a man and woman even have a public debate over issues of the day, without the man forever worrying about his words?

Etchecopar went before a (female) judge last week for sentencing.  To remain out of prison, he cut a deal with prosecutors which required him to host a feminist guest every week for five months.  He cannot interrupt his guests for 10 minutes, nor can he criticize them after they finish.  JUST LET THEM BABBLE ON, WITHOUT ANSWERING CHALLENGING QUESTIONS.

Under the terms of the plea agreement, prosecutors will provide a list of gender specialists* and Argentina’s gender violence prosecutor (a woman) will come up with the topics for discussion.  Americans have a term for this: government censorship.

Etchecopar also has to avoid making further discriminatory remarks for a year and has made a small donation to a Catholic charity.  He will be re-arrested and tried in criminal court, if he breaks the terms of his probation. It remains to be seen whether or not listeners will tune in to listen to political propaganda.

Argentines are not protected by a constitutional right to Freedom of Speech.  Couldn’t possibly happened in America, right?  Think again, we are halfway there.

Americans used to believe in and live by the ideal: “I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”  As Liberals took over most government functions, academia, public education, the judicial system, the media, entertainment, social media, they chipped away at Freedom of Speech.

Americans face punishment in numerous ways for using language that is prohibited by Liberalism.  It is just a matter of time when we join Canadians by criminalizing & prosecuting those who utter words that offend Liberals.

In recent years everyday Liberals living their lives can be seen & heard trying to stop others from speaking & listening to “heresy.” Sitting in the allergy clinic’s waiting room, this writer & another patient were exchanging stories about the negative impact of Obamacare on people we know. A man across the room made sure I saw him shooting daggers at me to force me to change the subject. I didn’t.

Let’s face it, this is not really about words.  It is all about controlling thoughts and, especially, the sharing of ideas.  Liberalism can only survive by preventing the free exchange of ideas.  And by punishing free thinkers.

I am an American, a patriot, a Conservative, a Republican & a strong Trump supporter. I retired in order to devote 2020 to getting the best president in my lifetime re-elected. Normal Americans have hope for the first time in decades. But, we MUST NOT relax. We have remained silent for too long while Liberalism has caused significant damage to Americans, to American culture and to our nation. Trump's work must continue through 1/2025. If we want anything of value to remain for future generations we need to act now, speak out now. Laugh every time a Liberal speaks, vote every chance we get & volunteer to campaign for Trump. Don't be intimidated by Liberals. Our nation, our culture is too special to lose.
