The loving and tolerant Left strikes again!
This time, the offender is a CBS executive. In fact, Hayley Geftman-Gold is a top legal exec for the media giant. Still, she didn’t bother to edit her words on social media.
While the family of shooter Stephen Paddock is struggling to find answers, thousands of people have been impacted by the shooting that occurred during the Route 91 Music Festival.
The death toll is now at 58. More than 400 injuries have been reported. Yet, Gold let the world know that country music fans deserve to die because most of them are just gun-toting Republicans. And this woman is a LEGAL executive? Talk about a liability!
According to The Daily Caller:
“The gunfire began during a performance by the singer Jason Aldean, the closing act of the Route 91 Harvest Festival, according to Gail Davis, who was in the audience of more than 22,000,” reports The New York Times.
CBS has a history of hostility towards Republicans. Shortly after the attack on the GOP congressional baseball team gravely injuring Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise in June, former CBS anchor Scott Pelley questioned whether the shooting was “foreseeable, predictable and to some degree, self-inflicted.”
The original thread was deleted, but not by Geftman-Gold.
Of course, we all know there’s no such thing as “delete” on social media. Once you post it, somebody’s gonna save it somewhere.
Birds of a Feather
Sadly, Gold isn’t the only one to make cruel, insensitive statements today. Earlier, a teacher tweeted her wish for all the “Trumptards to die.” Unfortunately, this vile human being is responsible for educating children in some corner of the world. Hopefully, the screenshots of her post will make it back to her local school district.
No matter who these people voted for, they are still mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons, and daughters. To politicize
such a tragedy is to completely lack a moral compass.
The First Victim
Over the next few days, we will likely hear hundreds of stories from the families of these victims. The first of which is the story of Sonny Melton. He attended the festival with his wife. He was married only a little over a year. Facebook posts on their wedding page show the love they shared.
“We were the couple that never should have met, fallen in love or had a future together….but life is funny and we believe God brought us together as soul mates,” read their wedding page. “We have shared amazing times together and nearly unbearable heartaches but through it all, we have grown stronger in our love for each other and our families.”
While thousands of people are sorting through their agony, people like Gold are politicizing a tragedy. One can only hope she gets to hear Trump’s famous saying, “YOU’RE FIRED!”
